What About Us?
Moziby is for buyers and sellers of African commodities. The idea was born out of two decades combined of commodity trading experience by our team of dedicated traders. We asked ourselves a simple question? How can we make trading African commodities a seamless and streamlined experience for our buyers and sellers? The answer: Moziby.
How To Sell Or Buy On Moziby?
Once you have created an account and we have verified your information, you will be ready to buy or sell on Moziby.
Fees
Moziby is free to use for buyers. A commission ranging from 1% to 2% depending on the product will be charged to the seller per transaction.
Payment Terms
Payment terms depend on the goods you are buying. The seller has the option to ask for LC, CAD with optional prepayment. Final terms are negotiated between the buyer and the seller. Our traders team assist you during the process. For new sellers and/or those who lack a strong trade history, we generally impose a probation period during which their first three deals are paid after inspection of the goods. This will help them establish a track record of performance and quality to help them negotiate future deals on their own terms.
Quality Assurance
All our sellers are verified before they can sell on the platform. Third party certifications, lab testing and trade history data are made available on the platform. Our team also performs physical inspections of suppliers at least once a year for quality and safety assurance. You also have the option of requesting samples before closing a deal.
Should I communicate with suppliers outside of Moziby?
When negotiating business deals, we strongly advise both parties to strictly keep their communications on Moziby. Chat records will help our team make informed and fair decisions in the case of disputes and to guaranty the safety of all parties involved.
Dispute Resolution:
In the unlikely event of a dispute over quality or performance, Moziby works diligently to find a mutually satisfactory solution. Most disputes are resolved quickly and fairly at this stage. You are always buying/selling on known and accepted terms and conditions. A resolution can also be sought in an arbitration court as a last resort, although this is extremely rare.
